Stuff I Ate

Hey everyone! I hope that you are all doing well and that you enjoyed your weekend! I don't have to much to report, I just have a few pictures of yummy food for you!

Toasted pumpernickel bagel, half with Earth Balance and half with Tofutti and a cup of coffee with Silk Soy Creamer.

This is a delicious sandwich on Dave's Killer Bread with hummus, tofurkey, pickles, tomato and lettuce. So yum.

I've been into the salads this week! This is a faux chick'n Caesar Salad. It's a little weird how real it looks! I used the Morningstar Vegan Chick'n Strips and the Just Caesar dressing.

Another salad with romaine, almonds, cranberries and more faux chick'n. This one has the Asian Vinaigrette from Panera that I love.

These are just some pretty hibiscus flowers I saw and wanted to capture. These are my favorite flowers, so beautiful!

That's all I have for today. Starting on Friday I will be house/pet sitting for a little under two weeks. This weekend my friend is also visiting so it's going to be very hectic. I will *try* to get a Friday post up but I'm not 100% sure I will. I know Sunday won't happen because I just won't have time. At the very latest I'll be back Tuesday, but hopefully I can squeeze in a Fun Friday post!

I hope you all enjoy your week <3

Awesome salads -- I didn't know Morningstar has vegan chick'n strips; I'll have to keep an eye out for them! Beautiful flowers, and good luck with the house/pet-sitting! :)

I saw that salad on IG, and MAN, I want it!! Also that bagel looks delicious. I think we all know how I feel about bagels. :-)

Mmm... I love a pumpernickel bagel with some hummus.

Those hibiscus are beautiful! I've never seen that color combo

Great breakfast shot. You dont buy TJ's Chickenless Strips? Might be less expensive. Wish I had thought to put Dried Cranberries in my Salads back in the day. I always think of you when I see Hibiscus flowers (and Dolmas).

I hope you have a great visit with your friend!

Thank you! I didn't know either but I heard someone mention it and I looked and they actually have "Vegan" written in huge letters on the bag - probably because not all of their products are vegan so they wanted to be clear haha. It was really good, perfect for salads!

Thanks! I can't wait to see those furry babies :)

Haha thanks! I've been chowing down on a Romaine heart per day recently and it's been so good. I am right there with you with the bagels. Seriously you have to come to NY and have one.

Pumpernickel bagels are seriously the best!

I've never seen the color combo either! They were so gorgeous I had to take the picture :)

Thank you! TJs is ideal for the faux chick'n products but they haven't carried them for a long time. They said they were having an issue with the supplier or something and once it was worked out they would be back but they still are not. The cranberries are such a great addition. Aww yay!

Thank you! I haven't seen her since her wedding a few years ago and I'm really looking forward to it!

Both salads and sandwich look delicious! I'm back on the sandwich train (albeit made from home, since we know my luck ran out at sandwich shops!). I've not tried that bread, but I keep hearing good things about it!

I hope you are having a fantastic time with your friend in town, and if you are house sitting for your brother, I expect photos of the pups! Ha ha!

It was all delicious! The bread is really yummy and quite hearty, it can definitely hold up to a sandwich of this size.

Thank you! We had a great time! Pictures of fur babies hopefully to come later in the week :)
