My Orlando Vacation!

Hey guys! I'm back from Florida and excited to share the pictures I have with you. I didn't photograph a ton of food but I did get a few pics of some drool worthy meals to share. I also have some pictures of a few things that we ended up doing. We mostly had a really mellow, relaxing staycation and it was just really nice to get to hang out with my best friend again.

My flight took off 45 minutes late heading out there (and an hour late coming back) so this is the beautiful sunset picture I got while we were sitting on the runway.

And this is the even more beautiful sunset picture I got in the air. Sadly it didn't do the real thing justice, it was AMAZING.

The first day I was there we ran a bunch of errands. One place I specifically wanted to go to was a store called Chamberlin's Natural Food Market. They have TONS of amazing vegan products as well as vitamins and supplements and a smoothie/juice bar. It's not all vegan but they have a huge vegan presence for sure. Anyway, I photographed my haul. I loaded up on the Thai Peanut flavored Primal Strips vegan jerky because it is the only flavor I like and I can NEVER find it near me. I also got some Cinnamon Apple Spice herbal tea, some Vitamin D supplements and he got some chocolate that I decided to share in this haul :)

On Saturday we went to the Farmers Market in the morning (sorry no pics) and then we walked over to Ethos Vegan Kitchen for brunch. I got my favorite meal which is the breakfast burrito (so freaking good!) and a fruit cup on the side.

I photographed my friend's brunch as well and he got tofu scramble with oatmeal (the little cup in the back is brown sugar for the oatmeal) and a fruit cup.

On Sunday we made brunch at home and we had avocado toast, peanut butter toast (banana on mine) and some fruit on the side.

We decorated his Christmas tree while watching Pitch Perfect which is one of my favorite movies ever.

Here is the finished tree. He is clearly a big fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

I LOVE this gorgeous cat ornament. It was my favorite.

On Sunday it was football day and I didn't really care about the game but I did enjoy this amazing Woodchuck Amber Hard Cider. I hate beer but I do enjoy cider so it was really yummy.

And here is a picture of this adorable fur baby! He is so sweet and loves eating my hair, ha!

I didn't photograph it but it is now tradition to have a game night with some friends when I come down to visit so we all got together on Saturday night to play Cards Against Humanity. It was so fun and I'm proud (or maybe not so proud) to have gotten second place by a close margin, ha! The whole point of the game is to be as vile and inappropriate as possible and it is just hilarious and a really fun time. We also played the Seinfeld Scene It game on Sunday and I was the proud winner of that :) I'm just a wee bit competitive, ha!

So that was my trip! I hope you all liked the pictures. I wish I would have gotten more but I was feeling really lazy and trying to be in the moment. I hope you all had a great weekend!

The sunset pictures are so beautiful! I love Pitch Perfect too! It sounds like you had an amazing time with your friend which is what's most important!

Thank you! Isn't it the best movie? I've seen it a million times and I'll watch it a million more :) We had a great time, I miss him already!

Yay! It looks like such a good time! Beautiful tree, and yummy looking food. I've not heard of the Primal Jerky, I'll have to look for it (and if I find any in that flavor, I'll send some!). I love mellow vacations. There are times that I want to tour, but there are time that relaxing wins!

Gorgeous colors in the sky.

I like all the brunch ideas. His Tofu Scramble looks especially tasty.

Sounds like a perfect trip. I am glad you posted about it, although my odds of ever going to Orlando again are slim to none.

Thank you! We had a great time, it was exactly what we both needed! The Primal Strips are so good, I'm so sad I can't find the Thai Peanut near me. They have boxes on Amazon but I can't justify spending $30 on vegan jerky, ha!

The sunset was amazing that night. And that picture didn't do it justice!

That brunch is always my favorite! His scramble looks good but I can't get enough of that burrito.

It was really nice! Any reason why you wouldn't go back?

I do want to see Disney World again. I sure hope I go back, but it would involve finding a trusted pet sitter.

Oooh yes, that's right!! When you don't have pets of your own it's easy to forget that! I hope you do get to go back though!
