This Week

Hey guys! I hope that you have all had a great week :) After today it is my weekend and I'm really excited about it. I have big plans of cleaning and organizing and downsizing and meal prepping and it is kind of making me really happy. I've planned out a bunch of bento box meal ideas and I'm hoping to have a post up for you with those ideas soon! But for now, let's just check out a few things from this week.

I picked up this delicious plain bagel with scallion tofu cream cheese for breakfast one day. I can't even tell you how happy it makes me that places here on Long Island offer tofu cream cheese. Offering scallion tofu cream cheese is definitely a big bonus.

I ate this big beautiful salad for lunch one day. So good. It has lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cranberries and almonds with a balsamic dressing.

I treated myself to veggie rolls yesterday. I was the first customer of the day and they had just started prepping so I had to order my rolls (normally I just grab them from the case). They decided to load me up because I was the first customer and check out the mountain of rolls they gave me! A pretty great value for $6.49.

I think you guys know by now that I am NOT a fan of Kombucha. The chunks really gross me out and I don't think it tastes particularly good. Then the other day I saw that Bianca had a Raspberry Lemon flavored Kevita Kombucha and thought that flavor actually sounded delicious. I went to the store to try one and I also found the Pineapple Peach flavor. I got one of each because they were on sale 2/$5. I tried the Pineapple Peach first and holy shit guys! It's GOOD. It smells like the sweetest pineapple ever and it tastes amazing. I'm so excited I tried this flavor! I still have to try the other one so we'll see if that one is good!

This big girl got her ears pierced this week! She looks so cute and I can't wait to buy her some fun earrings when she is allowed to change them out.

This is totally random but I found it on Instagram (I don't remember which account though, sorry!) and it really resonated with me. It is kind of exactly what I needed to see because it is exactly what I struggle with. When I find things like this I like to post them because I have a feeling there are a lot of people out there that can probably also benefit from it.

So that's all of the randomness I have for you today :) I hope you all enjoy your weekend! I'll be back on Tuesday with another post. I'm really excited you guys… I feel more inspired and motivated than I have in a really long time. Really great changes and growth are within reach and it makes me feel really amazing.

Oh my gosh. Sarah! This post is fantastic! I was feeling happy while reading it and appreciating your great photography (like I always do) and nodding my head in agreement (I recently bought lots of organizing containers to get my stuff under control) and now I feel your optimism is infectious. I work at a very toxic, abusive work environment (literal screaming, HR person is married to partner so she won't do anything; turnover is very high) and the job hunt is turning out longer than I hoped. I won't let that deter me because they want to break my spirit but my inner Scarlet O'Hara keeps coming out so as long as I've got her I'll be ok, and so will you! Here's to a transformative year! :)

This is an awesome post! You may be jealous of my warm weather, but I am so jealous of your going into a bagelry and ordering a genuine NYC Bagel with Tofu Cream Cheese! Cant begin to imagine.

Great looking Salad (Balsamic Vinaigrette on Dried Cranberries works for me). And very happy for you getting all that fresh made Sushi for $6.49!

Speaking on $6.49, that is about what they charge for a bottle of Kombucha down here. Really miss the stuff. Sometimes the chunks are a little much, but otherwise the ultimate refreshment.

How fun to be able to buy Delilah earrings. She will always treasure them cuz they were from her cool Aunt Sarah.

That's so cool that you can find scallion tofu cream cheese! hose vegetable rolls look amazing, and that is a really great deal!!
Kevita kombucha is my absolute favorite. It has no chunks, and it really tastes the best in my opinion. I love the pineapple peach!
I really like the quote from Instagram. Thanks for sharing, it resonated with me as well!

Yay! So much to love here! I'm so happy to hear you're feeling great, and I can't wait to read all you have to share!

Delilah looks like a proper elementary aged student here; she is growing up so quickly!

I can be picky with Kombucha, so I'll have to try this one. I love pineapple! Both the sushi and the salad look so vibrant and delicious, and I have quite the jealousy for that bagel!! Yum!

It should be your weekend by now, so I hope you're enjoying it!

Aww! Thank you Beverlee! I'm so sorry that things are so difficult for you right now and that you are in a bad situation at work. I'm hoping that your job search will end soon and that you'll be in a new place that is positive and fulfilling for you. I'm glad that this post was helpful to you and was able to lift your spirits <3

Aww thanks! I definitely don't take the access to NY bagels for granted. It is definitely lucky to be able to get it whenever I want.

That is a crazy price for kombucha! I don't like it enough to pay a ton for it but I will definitely be getting the Pineapple Peach again. Hopefully they will go on sale and you can stock up!

Aww I hope so! I'm going to give them to her for Valentine's Day :)

The vegetable rolls were so good! I'm glad I decided to go get them. It was definitely a great value.

You are the one that originally told me about Kevita! I love that it has no chunks. I'm picky about flavors but the Pineapple Peach is delicious.

I'm really glad that the quote was helpful for you. Sometimes we just need a little reminder.
