Grocery Haul

Hey guys! I hope that you are all well and that you enjoyed your weekend. My weekend was exhausting and I was totally drained yesterday but I was able to catch up on sleep a bit last night. I don't have a lot to share today but I did take photos of my grocery haul from this week.

I didn't buy this but did you guys know that Trader Joe's started carrying açai packets?! That is definitely good to know. I have some in my freezer from a really long time ago but now I know I don't have to go to Whole Foods to grab them.

For produce I got some romaine hearts, celery hearts (I rarely eat celery but I've been craving it with peanut butter lately), asparagus, HUGE honeycrisp apples, and some tomatoes.

Random stuff includes tortilla chips (restaurant style, yum!), some delicious sounding ancient grains and nuts granola, frozen mango and pineapple because it's almost smoothie time! And I'm sorry about the hideous tablecloth… this is one of the 5% of the time you'll have to see it!

Bianca posted about these maybe a week ago and they sounded so good! I didn't know where to get them and then I randomly walked in to a 7-11 and they were there staring at me! I don't know when
7-11 starting carrying things like this but it's awesome! I haven't tried them yet but I'll let you know how they are.

So that's what I have for today. Nothing crazy interesting but a decent haul nonetheless. On a different note, I ended up facing my fears and going to the movies yesterday. I did see Beauty and the Beast and you guys… it was GOOD. I really loved it and I'm glad that I didn't give in to the intrusive thoughts. It was really difficult to sit there before it started and during the previews but once the movie started I was able to get lost in it for the most part. Anyway, I highly recommend seeing Beauty and the Beast!

I hope you all have a great week and I'll see you on Saturday!

Ooh, glad you found those puffs at a 7/11! How cool is that?! I haven't seen them sold anywhere here (just the samples they sent me). But I hope to find the savory ones soon! Also, yay for asparagus season! Kroger (our main grocery chain here) had it on sale for 99 cents a bunch this week!

So glad you went. I want to see it again in 3D. I agree, I was totally lost in that magical world :)

I'll have to check the 7-11 near my apt. to see if they have those quinoa puffs. They sound so good!
Congratulations on facing your fears!!!!

I was so excited to see the açai packets! I love that Trader Joe's has started carrying things like that and nooch!

I couldn't believe they had it! They also carry the Lenny & Larry's protein cookies… not the healthiest but hungry vegans with no options definitely appreciate it! I can't wait to try the puffs!

I've been super into asparagus lately. Especially in my stir fries!

I am too! I'm not a big movie person but it really was magical. The Be Our Guest scene was everything. So well done. And Ewan McGregor as Lumiere? Yes please!

I hope they have it! It was such a random, lucky find!

Thank you so much!

I've spied those acai packets, and need to remember them for summer time smoothies! Lots of lovely colors in that haul, I'm sure it'll all be delicious (including pb & celery!).

You are amazing! I know I've said that before, but you are conquering your fears left and right! I recently decided to talk to my old therapist about a little anxiety that has resurfaced/emerged, and look forward to our first session next week. Self care is so important, and I hope to be as successful as you've been!

I can't wait for smoothie/açai bowls! I just need like another 10 degrees and some sun! I've had PB and celery once so far and it was delicious!

Aww, thank you so much. I can't even tell you how much that means to me. I know to a lot of people it seems silly to think that going to the mall or movies is a big deal and big progress but for me it is a huge deal. I'm so happy that you have reached out to your therapist and that you are going to work on your anxiety! I know it'll be a great experience for you and I know you'll be able to work through it!

Going to the movies can really suck if you are surrounded by annoying people. Plus, the seats can be gross. I havent gone into a theatre in several years. Seems perfectly normal to me not to want to deal with those issues. I was willing to brave those things if 'Trainwreck' came to the theatre here, but it didnt. Once I saw it on cable, I am glad I didnt bother trying to see it in the theatre.

Those are not typically the issues that cause me the biggest problems (although yeah, it can definitely be really gross!). My intrusive thoughts about the movies are sadly more sinister. I kept having thoughts of someone walking up behind me and shooting me in the back of the head. Lovely, right? It sucks but I'm so glad that I went.

Are you an Amy Schumer fan? I don't know why but I have never really been a fan. I thought maybe she'd grow on me but she hasn't.
