This and That

Hey guys! Happy Tuesday! I hope that you are all well and that you enjoyed your weekend. Did you do anything fun? Is it warming up near you? It had gotten pretty warm here for a few days but now it is cold and gray again. It's such a tease! I'm definitely ready for spring. I'm feeling really motivated to get out and live my damn life for the first time in a really long time and it feels good. I just need the weather to cooperate with me! If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out this post on my other blog!

I don't even really know how to categorize what today's post is. I have a meal, some new things at the store and a bunch of things I've been into lately. I guess if you've been with me for a while this would be a lot like a Fun Friday post from my past blogs. It's just a random combination of fun stuff that I've been enjoying lately. So I guess let's get into it!

So this happened! I tried it last night and oh man is it good! I really love it because it taste as cloyingly sweet as the rest of them. I'd say out of the flavors I've tried so far the Coffee Caramel one is my favorite followed closely by this one!

I enjoyed another Tofurkey wrap with some veggie chips. I can't wait for it to be lighter later so my dinner pictures don't look quite so terrible.

Have you guys seen this?! Trader Joe's is now selling Nutritional Yeast for $2.99! That is amazing! Thanks to the VegNews Instagram feed for giving us the heads up!

I've heard about The Great British Bake Off a lot but had never really watched it before. I found the first three seasons on Netflix and I basically binge watched all three seasons because I'm obsessed! I have three episodes left of season three and I just love it. I am so incredibly impressed by their talent and creativity and I love seeing what they come up with. I also love thinking about what I would do if I were there (please tell me I'm not the only one that does this!) and I now have a long list of things that I want to try! The bread episodes are always my favorite because I love bread more than anything and I've always wanted to try to make my own bread from scratch. If you watch this, which week is your favorite? Bread, cakes, patisserie? Let me know!

Just like I've been binge watching The Great British Bake off, I binge listened to the first three episodes of the Missing Richard Simmons podcast. The host is someone that took classes at his fitness studio and became friends with him. After Richard Simmons disappeared from the public he became concerned and has begun to search for answers as to why he became so reclusive. I will be honest and say that I always thought that Richard Simmons was a bit much for me to handle but I also recognize that he helped so many people and seemed like a genuinely good person. All of the theories about his disappearance are pretty sad and the one that you hope for is that he just walked away from the spotlight and just wants some privacy. Sadly, I personally don't think that is the case. Anyway, I really recommend listening to this if you are into podcasts. It's so interesting.

I discovered Planty Good yesterday and I'm already in love with everything they sell and am planning on placing an order soon. The shirt pictured above is definitely my favorite but I'm also really loving the Romaine Calm & Carrot On shirt. So freaking cute!! If you like cute, vegan, punny tees, definitely check them out!

So there you have it! A random mix of things I ate, things I found at the store and what I've been watching and listening to lately. What have you been binge watching on Netflix? What are your favorite podcasts? Please let me know in the comments below, I'm always looking for suggestions! Especially now that I'm almost done with all three seasons of The Great British Bake Off.

I hope you all have a great week! I'll see you again on Saturday! <3

I called Target here in SLC to see if they have the new flavors of Ben and Jerry's abd sadly they don't!! I need it in my life! I saw the post about nooch on Instagram too, so far I haven't seen it at my Trafer Joe's, but I'll ask the next time I'm there. It's so exciting!! Thanks for the tip about the Richard Simmons podcast. I've been worried too. As a kid i always wanted to hang out with him. I feel like maybe he has dementia or something. It's very sad.
I tried watching The OA on netflix, but I just can't get into it. I've been watching It's Always Sunny, and I started watching Supernatural. I'm super late to the party but hey!

Oh no!! Hopefully they will start to carry them soon. I'm surprised I found them so quickly to be honest. I know, I can't wait to check for the nooch this weekend! What a great price!

The podcast is really interesting. I feel really sad for him. I really hope that he just wants his privacy and that it is nothing worse. I never considered dementia, that's definitely a good guess.

Oooh I should watch It's Always Sunny. I've heard it's amazing. I'm going to start Shameless next. There are like 6 seasons, it's a bit daunting!

Aaaaah! I love the GBBO! Mel and Sue are hilarious, and Paul and Mary are the best judges. Not to mention the contestants with their English quirks, and the international representation is so much better than what any of our cooking shows have presented. The dried fruit bread I made last summer, Bara Brith, was from one of their episodes. I could go on, but I won't - I just love that you're enjoying it!! I've watched every season!!

I heard about Richard Simmons recently, and forgot that he had gone missing (or is held captive). So crazy!!

I watched several episodes of Shameless but didn't finish the first season. I liked how the kids looked out for each other. The same with Orange is the New Black. Everyone raved about it and I kept going but I just couldn't get into it. I want to watch Stranger Things and I'm three episodes in with The Crown and really like it. I'm always late to the party with what's popular. Too much good TV and so little time :(

It's so good!! The hosts are so cute and I do love the judges too. I also love the diversity and I love how supportive they are of each other. They are always saying when someone else deserved it and stuff like that. It's really nice to see. I am really inspired to learn about bread baking and I'm really excited to give it a try! I think they mislabeled the seasons though because when I looked it up online it looked like I was watching the later seasons.

I'm definitely going to give Shameless a try. I tend to get bored with shows easily which is why 6 seasons seems daunting but we'll see how it goes!

I rarely watch TV but for some reason I've been all about binge watching for the last week or 2.

Goodness, between you and Ingrid, I will have to watch that Baking Show this week! Like I said, 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' is one of the best shows ever.

I've only seen a few episodes of Crazy-Ex Girlfriend but I like it a lot. I could relate to how the Santa Ana winds screw with everybody. I'm the same as Sarah in that I get bored with shows too with little time to watch but I'm feeling the whole binge watching thing too. I just want to crash on the couch & zone out on TV.
