Groceries and Bubble Tea!

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday :) I hope that you are all doing well and had a great weekend. It was really beautiful yesterday so I made sure to get out and enjoy the nice weather for a bit. The weekends always go by quickly but this one seemed to go especially quickly. It's back to the grind today but that's life, right? Anyway, today I have my weekly Trader Joe's haul and some bubble tea!!

For the produce I got some blackberries, grape tomatoes, romaine hearts, a bag of russet potatoes, broccoli slaw, asparagus and one regular tomato.

For random grocery stuff I got my favorite tortilla chips (these have a strong lime kick, I LOVE them!), Inner Peas, jasmine rice and a bottle of the coconut aminos! It costs $2.99 which is a great price!

So as I mentioned above, it was a gorgeous day yesterday and I felt like getting out of the house and enjoying it. After running some errands (Mother's Day gifts and my Dad's birthday gift are done!) and after that I decided to go on an adventure and find the new bubble tea place I found online. By adventure I mean venture about 20 minutes from my house but it was an adventure for me, haha. Anyway, I found the place quite easily and got this beauty! While I enjoy the delicious bubble tea from the mall (the mango green tea one), Peach Bubble Tea has always been my favorite and I missed it. That is exactly what I ordered. I always go for less sweetener because it's always too sweet for me so I went 70%. It was still pretty sweet but so delicious! The tapioca pearls were so fresh and chewy and delicious. I am going back in a few weeks with my friend for a catch up session and I can't wait!

As a side note for the bubble tea, I went to H-Mart the other day (I didn't get anything) and I found the uncooked tapioca pearls there! I'm tempted to pick up a package and see if I can make my own bubble tea. What do you guys think? Should I give it a try? Have any of you ever tried to make your own? Do you have any recipes you'd recommend?

So that's it for today! As always I'll be attempting to not be useless at photographing my meals :) I hope you all have a great week and I'll see you back here on Saturday!

Mmm...LOVE bubble tea! Definitely make it. It's super easy. I've made it a few times, and I never regret it. Plus, you can make your own much less sweet AND you can make vegan milk teas at home. Nowhere around here sells vegan milk teas. I don't have a recipe to recommend though. I always just google and find something and then forget shortly after what I made. Haha.

I've seen the tapioca balls too and I've never been brave enough to buy them and try. Some things just feel too exotic, like someone else has to make it for me! But I definitely think you should try. Maybe the next time I go to the Asian market I'll pick some up and try too. I don't know of anywhere around here that sells bubble tea.
I've never tried those chips, good to know they're tasty. I sometimes like to have tortilla chips with my soup since I miss bread so dang much!

I'm going to try it out!! I agree, being able to control the sweetness is definitely a bonus! I'm not usually a fan of milk teas but I'm curious! I've seen brown sugar milk tea on some menus and that sounds really good so maybe I could try a vegan version! I think I saw a soy milk option at the new place, I'll have to check it out!

Everything is always better when someone else makes it for you! :) I am so curious, I think I'm going to give it a try! If there is an Asian market around there (for some reason I doubt there is but if there is!!) they would have it there for sure! If not I can send you a package.

I love these tortilla chips. Some of them can be a bit salty but I love the kick of lime. So good!

I'm a huge bubble tea fan, mango green tea is my usual jam but I've never tried peach. I think that you should totally try making it at home, I'd love to see how it goes.

I love the mango green tea, it is my go to in this other spot that I go to but peach is my all time favorite. I'm going to give it a try and when I do I'll make sure to post my adventure ;)

You must give fantastic Mothers Day and Dad BDay gifts. Did you inherit your gifting talent from your Mom?

Bubble Tea was big in Soho/Chinatown, but the thought of it still grosses me out.

I try to give creative gifts but my dad is a tough one. I get him more practical things because it's just what he prefers. My mom does give cute gifts as well :)

The first time I tried it I thought it was so weird that everyone loved it and it was just a weird experience for me. I've grown to love it though and I'll actually be meeting up with a friend for bubble tea next week!
