Hauls and Meals and Mugs, Oh My!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was really nice but went way too quickly. After an incredibly stressful work day on Saturday I met up with my friends for dinner which was really nice. I did absolutely nothing on Sunday and loved every second of it and then yesterday I met up with a friend and then I went to the mall. It was stressful but I'm glad I went! I feel like a day of doing nothing paired with a day of productivity is a perfect way to spend a weekend. What did you guys end up doing?

Today's post is going to be a combination of all kinds of fun things. I have a small grocery haul that mostly supplements what I already have in the house. I also have a few meals and I'll also show what I picked up at the mall!

For produce I just picked up some asparagus, romaine and grape tomatoes.

For random stuff I picked up some tater tots (!!), my favorite tortilla chips, Lavash wraps, the individual servings of raw almonds, the vegan marshmallows (they're back!!) and the coffee mochi that I have heard great things about! I was feeling a little junky this week haha.

I really liked the Ginger Ale Zevia so I decided to try the caffeine free cola version as well! I really love it! It's so funny because they are all clear (which is great, no artificial colors!) and it reminds me of the whole Crystal Pepsi phenomenon. It's perfect if you want a soda but don't want to drink the chemicals and crap.

Another delicious flagel (flat bagel) with tofu cream cheese. This is seriously my favorite meal.

We went out for my dad's birthday last week and I got this delicious salad. The only adjustment I had to make was to leave off the cheese. It is romaine, walnuts, cranberries, apples and grapes. So good and fresh.

When I met up with my friend on Monday we went for bubble tea. I seriously love this stuff. I went for my favorite peach tea and I loved it as always.

So I went to the Disney store yesterday to get my mug collection started. They didn't have a great selection at all but what they did have was on sale so I was happy about that. I had a hard time deciding (they didn't really have any princess options which would have made it a lot easier) so I decided to go with some girl power.

Of course I had to get this adorable Minnie Mouse mug! How cute is she?

I also decided to go for the Tinkerbell mug. The other sides have different poses and they are equally as adorable.

In addition to the mugs I decided to treat myself to a Kat Von D liquid lipstick. If you are into makeup but have not tried these liquid lipsticks I HIGHLY recommend them! The formula is amazing. They are super opaque, they are super long lasting and they don't budge. I had one shade before (Lolita, the most popular shade) and decided I wanted to go for a red. I'm so bad about choosing colors for my complexion but I will never try lipsticks on from a sampler… no matter how much they sterilize it. I can't even describe how gross I think that is. Anyway, I picked up the shade "Outlaw" and I am so happy with it! I LOVE it! It's the perfect red shade for me!

This is not my picture but it shows off some great swatches of the color. How gorgeous is it?! I'll try to remember to take a picture of it when I wear it :)

So that is the randomness I have for you today. Sadly the weekend went by way too quickly but hopefully the week will be quick and painless. I hope that you all had a great weekend and I'll see you here on Saturday! Have a great week! <3

Ok, where do you get that flagel?

OMG, flagels!! I didn't even know that was a thing! I'll have to ask Dave, my bagel guy, if he can make those! Also, must try that coffee mochi! I love that lavash bread too. I got that once on a TJ's visit.

Btw, I almost have your box ready to mail! Got a few little fun surprises in there! Will let you know when it's otw.

I love the vegan marshmallows so much! I haven't tried the coffee mochi, but I've heard really good things about it. Last year they had mango mochi that was really delicious. I miss the lavash bread, it's the best for wraps!
I love both your mugs, too cute! And I love your lipstick. Red is one of my favorite colors, and that shade is gorgeous!! I will never try on the sample lipsticks either. Shudder.

Hahaha! Bagel Boss! I know for a fact that the Lake Success and Roslyn Heights locations have the tofu cream cheese. You can try calling a location near you to see if they have it!

I think that all you do is flatten them before cooking? Or maybe before boiling? I'm not 100% sure but they are a thing and they are amazing! The coffee mochi is delicious! The Lavash lasts in the freezer so I always have it in case I need it :)

Aww you are so sweet! Thank you! <3

Their vegan marshmallows are so good! They have a little bit of a tougher texture, almost stale, and I love that! The coffee mochi is delicious and I also love the Lavash for flatbread pizzas! So tasty.

Thank you! It's the perfect red for me and I love it. OMG I saw a woman once take a tube and go directly to her mouth with no sterilization. My friend and I were gagging instantly. I can't imagine!

TJs makes great Tots. Sure miss those and the Meatless Meatballs. Glad you are partaking dor those who cannot.

Look at that Cream Cheese coming out of the center of the Flagel...that is what it is all about...

Great looking Salad for your Dad's BDay (Happy Birthday, Sarah's Dad!) Seems like you have the Romaine ready to make a home version.

Still aint feeling the Bubble Tea.

Love the Tinkerbell Mug and the Lipstick Shade.

They really do make some great tots. They are a good summer side with a yummy Boca Burger :)

Haha the NYers have the schmear down! It is so good!

Haha thanks! Yes, it is easily re-creatable. They used green apple which was a really nice change. I usually use honey crisp but I really liked it with the granny smith.

Thanks! I'm happy with my splurges :)

I'm pretty sure the flagel is just the plain bagel flattened before it is cooked! I know that the bagels are not cooked with honey in the water bath (I've heard that's a thing so I asked). The only thing I'd probably double check is if you wanted a wheat or oat bran bagel if there is honey. I've never tried those before.

That flagel looks delicious, LOVE that matte red lipstick for old "Hollywood-style" glamour (I'm over glossy lips) and those mugs are -what do the kids call it these days? - totes adorbs! ;)

Sarah said...

Hahaha yes!! Totes adorbs indeed!!! I think that a liquid lipstick and a Disney mug or 2 is a perfect way to treat myself each month! The flagel was amazing!

I never try lipsticks on my lips- on my hand. I assumed everyone does this. Maybe not o__o

I love that zevia soda is clear but I have to drink it from a can. For some reason that weirds me out. Funny how visuals effect taste, huh?

I always swatch on my hand too. I was in Ulta once and saw someone go directly from bullet to lips and I just stood their staring at her with my jaw on the floor. I couldn't believe it! So gross.

It is funny how that happens! It reminds me of crystal pepsi just by looks but I always drink from the can too. Which flavors do you like?

I only remember two of the flavors (I know I've had more) Ginger Ale and Root Beer. I think Root Beer is my favorite. It has a unique taste that other sodas don't have. Like a little anise/licorice note.

Oooh I like the ginger ale! I've had the cherry cola and kind of hated it haha. It had a medicinal cherry taste and was disappointing! I'm going to have to see what other flavors I can find!
