Stuff I'm Into Lately

Hey everyone! I hope that you are all well! I am currently in Florida enjoying time with my best from, some warmer weather and some time away from everything. I figured now would be a good time to go over some things that I've been loving lately! Sometimes I'll do this just to check in on some products and media that I've been loving and I thought now would be a perfect time to share some of them with you!

As you guys probably know, I really love coffee. I try to stick to decaf nowadays but I just love the flavor of it. I am so picky about my creamer though. I do like my coffee on the lighter side (not super light but regular plant milks don't do it for me) so I do prefer a vegan creamer. I used to stick to the Silk Soy Creamers but it has been more difficult for me to find lately. Instead, I've seen the Almond creamer EVERYWHERE. So, I decided to pick it up in the Caramel flavor and OMG YOU GUYS. I am a Silk Almond Creamer (not sponsored but I'm here for you Silk 😂) fanatic now and will continue to buy it in the future. They have a Sweet and Creamy flavor that I can't find but I really want to try! Anyway, I highly recommend this creamer and this is coming from someone that is so picky about creamer.

I am currently OBSESSED with Mixed Media Art and I have been dipping my toe into it myself. I am currently working on setting up a workspace for myself and gathering materials and playing with some watercolors and things like that. I love that it is a way to get out all of my creativity and I am just in love with this style of art. I can't wait to start sharing some work with you! The GORGEOUS journal cover pictured above is by Gabrielle Pollacco and she is so freaking talented.

Along the same lines I really wanted to share a Youtube Channel that I have been binge watching obsessively lately. The channel name is Maremi Small Art and the artist is named Marta Lapkowska. You guys. Her videos are amazing and she is one of the most talented, creative, sweet people I've ever seen on YouTube. If you are into art and are curious about this form of art I highly recommend her videos. She is incredible and I've learned a lot from her. She also has a blog that you can check out here.

This is a picture from the last time I was here but I'm posting it because I am highly anticipating getting to eat it again this weekend when we go for brunch (I hope they still have it!!). It is the breakfast burrito from Ethos Vegan Kitchen and it is my favorite brunch item ever.

This is random but there has been a "10 Year Challenge" on Facebook where you post a picture of yourself from 10 years ago and a picture of you now. I decided to play along and found a picture of me from 2007 (left) and a picture of me from 2018 (right). The difference is crazy to me! Have you guys ever done a comparison like this. I think that it is easy to look at a pic from 10 years ago and think that you look younger but to have them side by side is weird! I enjoyed this random Facebook challenge and thought it would be fun to share!

So I guess that is all I have to share for stuff I'm into! Since the past few weeks have been weird for me (and I've been obsessively binge watching the YouTube channel I spoke about above) I don't have a ton of new things to share but I did want to share the few things that I've found and talk about Mixed Media Art a little. I'm really excited about this style of art and like I said, I can't wait to start sharing projects with you!

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend! I am really excited to share my Florida vacation with you next week! I'll see you in a few days!

I love a good creamer too. And when I have coffee I definitely like it on the lighter side. I know what you mean about plain plant milk. It just isn't enough!
I love your ten year challenge! You look younger now!!
I hope you have so much fun relaxing in the sun with your bestie!

I'm not a coffee person but I put creamer in practically every tea I drink that isn't ginger. When I went vegan I found that to my delight most vegan creamers didn't curdle like dairy when put into slightly more acidic teas like orange spice. I'm not that picky about cream but I know the Silk ones are great. I usually buy So Delicious because that's what's available to me, but Coffee Mate now has some vegan options in its line--the "natural" kind--that are pretty good. If you can find the "sweet creme" one that might be nice when you want a neutral flavor. When feeling particularly indulgent, I buy Better Half. They have an unsweetened one I can use to substitute for half-and-half in recipes.

I hope you have a great brunch!

I am SO with you on the coffee creamer situation!! At coffee shops I’m happy with a bit of hot soy milk or oat milk for my coffee, but at home i actually really like the hazelnut coffee creamer from trader joe’s. (Not vegan, but then again i call myself a lactose intolerant vegetarian that doesn’t like eggs;))
I’ll look for this one, getting to trader joe’s isn’t especially easy and can be legit stressful
Oh! I actually did try the Ripple “half and half” when it was on sale a few weeks ago and it was really amazing- but regular priced here in nyc it’s more than i want to spend on creamer. I’m a big fan of the Ripple milks, and even got my omni friend hooked on it so she doesn’t buy dairy milk any more! Every bit helps i think.
Enjoy florida!! Your timing is excellent, the past few days have been BRUTAL cold

The mixed media art looks so pretty; I look forward to seeing what you're making! And yum, I hope you get to enjoy that breakfast burrito again! Loved seeing your 10 year challenge, too!

Yes! It's so good when it has that creaminess and I'm glad to finally have found a creamer that is easily accessible and delicious!

Aww thanks! Haha I'm wearing makeup in that picture so I'm sure that helped ;)

Thank you! I had a great time!

I've never tried milk/cream in my tea but I've heard it is great! The Silk ones are really great, a pretty good price and definitely accessible. Thanks for letting me know about the Coffee Mate! I love "Sweet Creme" flavored stuff so I'll have to see if I can find it.

Brunch was awesome, thanks!

It's funny because now coffee places are offering tons of options (which is awesome!) but the only plant milk that I can drink heated is soy. I've tried almond and coconut milk lattes and they are awful! Soy has the best flavor heated. At home I always use creamers and silk is awesome.

I've heard that Ripple is great! I think it's pretty pricey but if I ever see it on sale I'll definitely have to give it a try!

Yes, it was awful here! I definitely got out just in time! I tried to bring back some warmth for us here and it seems to have worked ;)

Isn't it gorgeous?! I can't wait to get into! The breakfast burrito was just as amazing as I remembered and thanks! It's fun to see how you've changed in a decade!

target actually sells Ripple at the best price i’ve found, never seems to be on sale at the couple of crummy grocery store near me in nyc that do carry it with a premium price tag, maybe your kroger sells it?

I second Ripple. I use the half and half just like I used to use dairy half and half and it opened up a whole new world of recipes to me. It also makes for the best vegan mashed potatoes ever.

Those notebook covers remind me of the cute cellphone covers that are super "kawaii" with lots of rhinstones, flowers, and sanrio characters and stuff. I always wanted them, but not at the same time lol.

Fun seeing 10 year challenges. I feel like a lot of people don't figure out their 'style' until they get older, and therefore look for more confident/happy.

Ooooh good to know!! We don't have Kroger but I have a few places I could check. I'll def check target because now I'm so curious! I bet it would be awesome in mac and cheese too!

They are so beautiful because of all of the texture that they have going on. I really can't wait to really get into it, I have so many ideas that I can't wait to get out!

I still don't know my style but I'm working on it. It's funny because I think I look happier in the younger picture but everyone seems to like the more current one better!
